Annie Giles introduces her 100% Natural Fruit Bars to The UK

Hello to the United Kingdom – I hope you’re having a great day!

My name is Annie Giles. I am the creator and “inventor” of Annies 100% Natural Fruit Bars and the founder and head of Annies Marlborough Ltd.

Here in the sun-drenched, fertile plain of Marlborough, at the top of New Zealand’s South Island, my family has been producing fresh produce for over 100 years.

My family purchased the farm back in 1898 and developed a solid farming business and over the years the farm evolved from sheep and crops to vegetables, fruit and grape production with a small fruit and vegetable shop on the property.

The roots of our business “Annies” were back in 1986 when my husband Graeme, gave me a small dehydrator. I immediately began to experiment converting surplus fruit from the family orchard into dried fruit leathers.

Soon I was was selling the products at our family’s small fruit and vegetable shop and later to shops in nearby towns. As demand outstripped supply, we invested in a commercial drier and “Annies” was well and truly underway. Now, years later under the “Annies” brand, our company Annies Marlborough Ltd produces a range of natural dried fruit snacks and is branching out into a number of other natural food products.

The original fruit and veggie shop has gone and has been replaced with the Annies Cafe and Shop, located right on State Highway One, just north of Blenheim.

Our Annies 100% Fruit Bars are sold throughout New Zealand, Australia and in parts of the USA, with demand growing from other countries, and now I am very proud to say “we’re now in the UK”.

My husband Graeme and I, still work in the business and, of course, its my face that appears as the brand and on the packaging.

Now, more than 25-years later, we have a wide variety of delicious and nutritious 100% fruit snacks and fruit bars, including three fabulous flavours in the UK;

Our Annies 100% Fruit Bars are not just available in our native New Zealand, or our UK office, but are on sale in Germany, the USA, Australia and in a growing number of wonderful locations.
